Electrolytic ozone generator for continuous or discrete disinfection of cold storage and distribution systems for ultrapure water (systemic protection). Ozone is generated directly from ultrapure water. The design of the ELAP allows reliable, fully automatic operation with low maintenance. The electrolytic ozone generation guarantees an efficient solution of ozone and high ozone concentration in water without costly supply of a certified feed gas. Additional information regarding the process technology can be found in the current ISPE Guideline “Ozone Sanitization of Pharmaceutical Water Systems”.

The ozone generator consists of a power supply and a separate electrolysis stainless steel and PTFE cell.

ELAP i1 series

Are ELAP units upgradable?

Yes, every ELAP unit can be upgraded to the maximum yield of 5 gO3/h. This is independand from the initial configuration. It is also possible to upgrade a Slave unit to a Master unit.

Both upgrades can be installed on-site.

What happens when a unit fails within a Master/Slave combination?

Every ELAP i1 unit within a combination functions independently. Should a unit have a failure the other ozone generators remain unaffected. Even if a Master unit within a combination has a failure you can still operate the others using either external PLC or via the emergency backup displays.

If the ozone generators are normally working with reduced yield it is possible to compensate for the missing unit in many cases by increasing the power of the remaining units.
